Fleet Services helps UAMS acquire and dispose of vehicles, but departments are responsible for
all aspects of their care.
For example, departments that purchase vehicles are responsible for routine maintenance and repairs.
They also submit MV-2 Vehicle reports, which must include all fuel purchases and maintenance costs.
These reports must go to Fleet Services no later than the 15th of each month.
Each department-owned vehicle has a WEX (Wright Express) card that can be used for fuel, maintenance
and repairs. Wright Express also offers 24-hour emergency roadside assistance. Departments are
responsible for all costs associated with their vehicles.
Note:Drivers must complete the
Authorization to Operate form if they drive for UAMS purposes.
This requirement includes state-owned, leased, rental or personal vehicles.
