Security and Support Services staff offer UAMS a wide variety of skills, from the old-fashioned craft of locksmithing to building and repairing sophisticated systems that keep our campus and its people secure.

Groups within Security and Support Services are:

• Fleet Services. We ensure that UAMS vehicles meet standards, guidelines and state regulations. We also help UAMS buy and maintain vehicles and dispose of them at the end of their service life.
• ID Badging. We issue ID badges and can help you replace lost or damaged badges. We also help people gain access to specific areas on campus.
• Lock Shop. We issue keys to UAMS properties and furniture only to authorized people, fix locks and provide locksmith services.
• Sign Shop. We create just about every kind of sign you can imagine. We label offices and desks, help people find their way around, show visitors where to park and more.
• Technical Security. We maintain all the access control systems on campus, including thousands of cameras, ID badge readers and badge-accessed doors. We also install and repair cameras, video intercom phones and alarms.
• Technology Support. We take care of thousands of data ports, countless miles of data cable and the overhead paging system used during emergencies.
