Our Vision

Our Safety and Security Ambassadors and Officers provide many services that help patients and visitors at UAMS be as comfortable and safe as possible. These high-visibility team members are available at Guest Services, Information stations and circulating in the hospital from 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., 7 days a week.

Safety and Security Ambassadors provide concierge services such as:

• Basic information about buildings on campus and finding your way
• Patient and visitor mini-shuttle services that move people between the Hospital, Central Building, Cancer Institute and Outpatient Center
• Greeting patients and visitors at entrances and helping patients or families who are being dropped off or picked up
• Wheelchair assistance

At Guest Services, we issue badges to patients and visitors, confirm appointments and make sure they have directions.

Other available services include Lost and Found and free wireless access in most public places on campus. Please see the panels on our home page for details.
