Comprised of Clarity and Caboodle database administrators, this team enables data collection and compilation across UAMS for accurate reporting and analytics.

This team’s work is critical for maintaining data integrity and ensuring that information is available and reliable for everyone who needs it.

Epic Client Systems Administrators

We oversee applications that interact with the Epic database, including:

• BCA
• Care Everywhere
• Epic Printing
• EpicCare Link
• Hyperspace Web
• Interconnect
• MyChart
• Web Blob and others

Our focus is ensuring the systems are stable, secure and highly resilient.

Operational Database Administrators

We are responsible for implementing code changes at the level of the Epic database. Our work includes:

• Applying code changes and licenses
• Maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux and its IRIS database to remain in compliance with Epic requirements
• Planning disaster recovery roll processes
• Refreshing environments

SQL/IIS Team

Our team includes SQL and IIS administrators who manage a wide range of databases and web applications across UAMS. We:

• Manage transaction logs (TLOGs) and ensure databases don’t accumulate unneeded data (bloat)
• Optimize performance
• Create stored procedures and web sites

The SQL/IIS team also monitors hundreds of SQL databases and UAMS websites to ensure uninterrupted service and performance.
