Urologic Cancers
The Uro-Oncology Clinic (UNOC) is located on the 6th floor
of the Arkansas Cancer Research Center and offers a broad range
of urological services to the genitourinary oncology patient, including
erectile dysfunction, stoma care and cancer prevention. We have
a full range of patient educations materials and media. Patients are
offered the opportunity to participate in one of many clinical trials
in a designated Clinical Trials clinic every Tuesday afternoon from
1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Mondays and Fridays are reserved for patient
consultations, return visits and minor procedures including cystoscopies, transrectal ultrasound biopsies, minor urodynamics, and intravesical therapies. Many of the minor patient problems can be addressed in the oncology nursing clinic on Wednesdays.
We are excited about two new recently opened clinics: a Laparoscopic Oncology Clinic on alternating Friday afternoons and a Brachytherapy Clinic every Tuesday afternoon. Our goal is to offer the best contemporary cancer care to patients and provide a conduit for translational research to make it from the
research laboratory to the patient. |
