Laparoscopy
Since the first laparoscopic nephrectomy in Arkansas performed here in 2000, we have been at the forefront of minimally invasive treatment of urological
diseases using cutting edge technologies. The advantages of laparoscopy over conventional open surgery include smaller incisions,
decreased postoperative pain and decreased hospital stay with faster
recovery. We offer laparoscopic treatment for many benign and malignant kidney conditions including nephrectomy (removal of the entire kidney), partial nephrectomy
(removal of part of the kidney).
We also perform laparoscopic cryosurgery (freezing of kidney tumor).
Other laparoscopic surgeries that are performed here include adrenalectomy, pyeloplasty and radical prostatectomy. |
