ACCREDITATION STATEMENT:
UAMS College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council of Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
AMA DESIGNATION:
The UAMS College of Medicine Office of Continuing Medical Education designates all educational activities for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA CATEGORY 1 CREDIT™ (per module). Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
DISCLOSURE POLICY STATEMENT:
It is the policy of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine to ensure balance, independence, objectivity and scientific rigor in all sponsored or jointly sponsored educational activities. All individuals who are in a position to control the content of the educational activity (course/activity directors, planning committee members, staff, teachers, or authors of CME) must disclose all relevant financial relationships they have with any commercial interest(s) as well as the nature of the relationship. Financial relationships of immediate family members must also be disclosed, if the nature of the relationship could influence the objectivity of the individual in a position to control the content of the CME. The ACCME describes relevant financial relationships as those in any amount occurring within the past 12 months that create a conflict of interest. Individuals who refuse to disclose are disqualified from participation in the development, management, presentation, or evaluation of the CME activity.
COPYRIGHT AND FAIR USE GUIDELINES:
All participants in the UAMS Rural Hospital Program online CME programs have signed a joint creation and ownership agreement in which the presenter agrees to and abides by University of Arkansas Board Policy 210.2 for copyright and fair use guidelines. Each presenter has agreed that they are the sole owner of the CME contribution and that the contribution does not infringe any copyright, violate any property rights, or contain any scandalous, libelous, or unlawful matter.
CME PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT:
These activity modules were planned according to the ACCME Essentials and Standards for Commercial Support. The physicians in the UAMS Rural Hospital Program online CME modules participated by developing and delivering subject matter content and assessment questions related to the CME activity provided.
CME PROVIDER DISCLOSURES:
All UAMS Rural Hospital Program CME providers have signed and attested that they have nothing to disclose regarding financial relationships and off-label discussions pertaining to the CME presentation as outlined in the UAMS College of Medicine Disclosure Policy and Procedures.
