There are many ways for friends of the University of Arkansas for Medical
Sciences Department of Pediatrics to participate in the work of the
institution and department. After more than a century of extraordinary
progress in medicine and health, the quest for new knowledge leading to
better health care for children remains one of our defining missions.
Our over 160 faculty physicians in approximately 28 specialties, who
practice at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, are providing hope for our
children. To save more lives, we must detect disease at its earliest
stages, find better ways to treat it, and develop new ways to outsmart or
subdue advanced disease. We’re making progress in giant leaps and tiny
steps; progress made possible with private gifts from individuals,
foundations, and corporations.
Friends may make memorial or tribute gifts, support scholarship funds,
research endowments, and building programs. Supporters can help us
raise funds for endowed academic chairs which would provide much needed
financial support to our world class pediatric physicians in every
specialty. Gifts can be made by cash, stock, will bequests and gifts
of property. The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences
development staff can also assist you in planning an estate gift that will
assure you a predictable income (such as the charitable remainder unitrust,
gift annuity, flip trust, lead trust, etc.) while enabling you to leave a
legacy to your family, our kids and the Department of Pediatrics.
