Students Wireless Access Procedures:
UAMS Aruba Wireless Network Setup
UamsGuest Access
Uams Guest access will allow
for Internet access only. All non-UAMS devices will use this network access SSID
(Service Set Identifier). If UAMS Network Resources need to be
accessed from a non-UAMS device, a VPN connection will need to be configured.
Laptop
Configuration
1.
After power on
and logging on to the laptop. Locate and right click the My Network
Places icon and click on Properties. 
2.
Right click on Wireless
Network Connection, then left click Properties.

Left click Wireless
Networks, left click UamsGuest and then left
click the Configure box.

4.
Under the Association
tab, leave the settings as default. The settings should look like this. Under
the Authentication tab, all entries should be grayed out. Left
click the OK button twice.

5.
Right click the
Wireless Network icon in the systray. The systray is the area on your toolbar
next to the clock.

Then, left click on View Available Wireless Networks.
6.
Left click on UamsGuest.
Left click the checkbox next to, Allow me to connect to the selected
wireless network, even though it is not secure. Then left click the Connect
button.

7.
A window should
appear stating that you are connected to the UamsGuest wireless
network.

8.
Now open your
Internet Browser. A Security Alert window will appear. Left
click the Yes button to continue.

9.
At the login
page, enter your Email address and then left click the Log In
button.

10.
You will see the
redirect page. You can wait to be redirected to your original Homepage or left
click the here link in the Click
here to go there directly.

11.
You should then
see your Homepage. You are now successfully logged into the UamsGuest Wireless
Network.
12.
To log out. Left
click the Click to Logout
link in the Aruba Logout window in the lower right hand corner
of your monitor.
Then left click the Close Window button.
