Faculty Interviews

All Arkansas residents must be interviewed by members
of the UAMS faculty. It is your responsibility to call the
Office of Admissions to schedule your interview
appointment. Arkansas residents may call to schedule
your faculty interview after you have certified and
submitted your AMCAS application. Arkansas residents
may begin calling July 15, but you must call no later
than November 15 to schedule your interview.

The College of Medicine reserves the right to perform
a criminal background check on all applicants accepted
for admission.

MCAT registration and test dates are posted on the
MCAT website: www.aamc.org/students/mcat/.

June 1, 2008
Applicants may begin to submit their AMCAS
web-application to AAMC.

November 1, 2008
Final deadline for all applicants to submit AMCAS
web-application to AMCAS.

November 15, 2008
Non-Arkansas residents with strong ties to Arkansas must
submit letter to UAMS advocating strong ties to Arkansas.

November 15, 2008
Last day for Arkansas residents to call UAMS to schedule
faculty interviews.

December 12, 2008
Admissions Committee meets to determine which non-
Arkansas residents will be invited to be interviewed in
January and reviewed in February.

December 17, 2008
Letters to early accepts.

January 15, 2009
ALL application documentation must be received at
UAMS for ALL applicants.

January 17, 2009
Letters to early accepts.

February 20, 2009
Letters mailed to all applicants informing them of their
admissions status: Accepted, Alternate List or
Not Accepted.
