Dietetic Internship: Registration and Licensure

Registration

Graduation from the program establishes eligibility to apply to take the Registration Examination for Dietitians administrated by The Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), the credentialing agency for The American Dietetic Association.  Upon successful completion of the examination the student will receive the Registered Dietitian (R.D.) credential.

Licensure

Graduation from the program and successful completion of the registration exam establishes eligibility to apply to become a Licensed Dietitian (L.D.).

Successful completion of the program does not itself ensure registration or licensure.  Each student is responsible for familiarizing himself/herself with the applicable registration requirements.
