UAMS is pursuing an improved sustainable future, based on the concept of "People, Planet, Profit", which means to benefit the people of UAMS (employees, students, patients, and the community), the environment, and the financial status of UAMS, its people, and its community. This involves efforts such as energy conservation, waste reduction, recycling, various "green" initiatives, but all in a cost effective manner.
This pursuit will involve efforts of all staff and students to be successful. Some things are little, such as turning off unneeded lights, taking the stairs, recycling when possible, and many other initiatives.
